Ask a buyer for a price on a car past saving.

ELV passes your car details to one vehicle buyer that covers your postcode, and we tell you who straight away. If we have no buyer for your area yet, we tell you straight away and keep nothing.

What can change the buyer's price

The buyer confirms the price after checking the car. It can change if the car differs from what you told us. For example:

The wrong car

The registration is not the car the buyer comes to see.

Give the registration exactly as it is on the V5C logbook, and say if the car is not where you first said.

Parts missing

The catalytic converter or a major part you said was fitted is missing.

Tell us in the questions if anything is missing, so the price starts from the car as it really is.

No proof it's yours

There is no V5C logbook and no other proof the car is yours.

Have the V5C logbook to hand if you can. If you do not have it, say so in the questions.
